God designed each one of us individually, we're not just carbon copies.

God took great care when He created us, He had great intention when He made us, and significant purpose and destiny in mind for each one of us. No exceptions.

The sad thing is, that although we start out as originals, many of us become copies along the way.

Imagine grabbing the wrong suitcase at the airport only to find that you had to live out of it and use the clothes inside!

You wouldn't do it would you? You wouldn't try to live out of a strange person's suitcase; you'd go and buy something that fitted you, something that suited you.

Yet even though it can be awkward and uncomfortable, people unknowingly do this; they uncomfortably wear clothes intended for somebody else!

That's what happens when somebody tries to give you a job, or a ministry, or a purpose, that doesn't fit well with who you are and who God designed you to be.

The odds are, at some point, someone has tried to get you to live out a purpose that wasn't meant for you, and that you took it on board, even though God created you to be unique and special, and it wasn't your purpose, even though He never intended it for you.

God doesn't want you to live out somebody else's purpose; He gave you your own unique purpose. So take time to find out what God really wants you to wear and wear it well!

Someone might have a similar personality or similar gifts, but they won't express them in the same way as you.

EVERYBODY possesses a unique combination of gifts and talents, and everyone is presented with unique opportunities and obstacles.

There may be people with similar personality traits who have similar gifts to you, but they won't express them in the same way. They won't think the same way you do. They won't have your unique combination of experiences and intelligence.

If you look back in history, or if you look forward into the future, you won't find your replica, you're the only one, you really are unique.

When you really think about that and begin to understand the implications, you'll begin to see that you have a mission here on earth, and you have a calling to fulfil.

if you don't have a sense of purpose you're going to miss clues about your mission, and you're likely to drift through life feeling vaguely dissatisfied even if most aspects of your life are going well.

If you don't have a sense of your destination, if you don't know where you're going, then when you arrive you might not know that you've arrived.

Everyone has a place in this world
where they can be themselves and flourish!

He had good works in mind for you before you were born, you were created as a solution to a problem that He knew was going to exist.

That's worth pondering...

God knew you were going to live in this generation, in this time in history, in the place you were born, to your particular parents, in your particular circumstances.

There are particular people that you're destined to influence and impact.

"We are God's workmanship created in Christ to do good works which God prepared in advance for us to do." Ephesians 2:10

Something to think about...

• What did God put you on earth to do?
• What are you actively doing to make sure you put things in place to enable you to do it well?

God has prepared important assignments for you. That's mind blowing isn't it?

Ask Him to show you what they are and how to get ready.
