Today's Coaching Moment - A Life Less Ordinary

God never intended for you to live an ordinary life. His plan has always been that you live an extra-ordinary life! God created you very intentionally, He created you to live a life of great purpose, He seeded destiny in you!

I talk with a lot of people who want to know that there's more to life than going to work, cooking, doing housework, looking after children and enjoying leisure time. There's nothing wrong with working and enjoying leisure time, but most people want more from life than just making a living and getting by.

Destiny, purpose, passion, and creativity can easily get smothered when life is busy.

You make lots of decisions every day. When you learn to make the right decisions, for the right reasons, at the right time, the quality of your life will change radically. When you consistently make good decisions, you'll begin to break through things that have held you back from being who you really are and doing what the Lord called you to do.

Even the small decisions you make every day can change your life for better or worse. I know that ultimately it's God's love and power that change you, but you need to make the decision to be open and receive them.

Maybe you can identify with some of these symptoms of people who need a breakthrough in their life.

• You feel like there is something more for you to do, but you don't know what it is.
• You want to do something positive but don't know exactly where to start.
• You feel stuck in your current job, relationship, or situation.
• You struggle to make decisions or you're afraid to make a wrong decision.
• You regularly procrastinate even about things that are important to you.
• You've given up on some dreams, and are less passionate than you were.
• You have gifts and talents you rarely use.
• You feel paralyzed and struggle to move forward.
• You often have negative thoughts about yourself.
• You're waiting for the perfect situation before you begin to pursue your dreams or destiny.
• You're not taking initiative because you're waiting for God to open doors of opportunity for you.

God is limitless, there are endless possibilities in Him, and what you can do with God is far more than you think or imagine.

I've been studying and living the radical life-changing principles found in the Bible for nearly 40 years and I have discovered that everything starts with, and flows from, a relationship with God.

Many of the popular personal development books and seminars are based on principles found in the Bible, but they miss out a personal relationship with God and remove His power from the equation.

When you combine the radical principles of change from the Bible with a relationship with God, and add to it the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, you can fast-track into your life purpose much quicker than you ever dreamed possible.

And, in the process, you'll discover and start to live the super-natural life that God always intended you to live.

Most people live a life of avoidance and procrastination, waiting for God to speak to them and give them a sign from Heaven. Yet God has already given you what you need to start moving forward into your destiny.

Life is like a connect-the-dots drawing; all you need to do is identify and get to the next dot; and gradually the bigger picture will begin to take shape over time.

Your life purpose involves radically changing and influencing the world. Life isn't just about achievement; it's about love and relationship. A transformed life is the best evidence of God's love to a world in need.

The change and transformation you long to see starts with you, you can't give away what you don’t have.

When you make changes that improve the quality of your everyday life, you'll feel better and you'll be more able to love people and connect with God on a deeper level. When you change your own life, you can't help but change the lives of the people around you.

Whether you're just starting on this journey, or you already know what you want, or you've lost your passion and enthusiasm along the way, I'd like to share some tools and strategies to help you.

I'll show you how you can develop a positive kingdom mind-set and understand that God's ways really are radically different from yours and the world around you.

Most people spend their energy focusing on what's wrong with a situation rather than on God's ultimate intentions. As you focus on God’s will—which is positive and brings life—then difficult situations, sickness, and oppression will lose their power to discourage you.

Identifying and pursuing your life purpose and taking hold of the destiny God had in mind when He created you requires you to change and grow in many different ways. It's a process, it takes time.

You won't be able to do everything all at once; it takes practice and persistence to develop new supportive habits. It's like sports or playing a musical instrument, you might pick it up quickly, but to get really good at it takes practice, time, and patience.
