Today's article shares simple ways to deal with negativity!

Pay close attention – because this is where many people fall down.

Applying today's message to your life has the power to totally transform your life so be sure to read, digest and apply…

What would you change in your life if you knew could?

Would you get organized? Grow spiritually? Improve your finances? Break free from bad habits? Lose weight? Start an exercise program? Improve a difficult relationship? Control your anger? Overcome fears?

The good news is that you can change these things! There is a simple Biblical solution available for you to start seeing the change you want to see.

What is it? Start agreeing with God, take your thoughts captive and replace wrong thinking with truth. Swap self-destructive negative thoughts with positive Biblical thinking.

God tells you that He is able to do exceedingly beyond all that you ask, think or imagine!

You can change your life by changing the way you think.

I'm starting 2012 as I mean to go on, and for me that means holding fast to the hope I have in Jesus, walking by faith not by sight and having the courage to do and say what the Lord shows me to do.

To kick start the year and make sure you hold on to things that nourish your soul and eliminate things that discourage you, I recommend you go on a negativity fast.

The negativity fast idea is not mine. I first heard of it through Dr Joseph Peck who had followed Gregory Dickow's negativity fast and waxed lyrical about the benefits.

The idea is to put an end to wrong or negative ways of thinking. It's simple and will have a profound effect on your life if you let it.

I encourage you to eliminate every thought, word and action that doesn't line up with the will of God.

Paul told the Philippians (4:8) to fix their thoughts on what is:

True honourable, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent and worthy of praise...

This week's focus: to eliminate I can't...

There are many things that people think they CAN'T do:

I've tried to change and I can't. I can't believe that. I can't forgive. I can't get over this. I can't do it. I can't get a job. I can't find anyone I want to marry who wants to marry me. I can't go back to college. I can't work this out. I can't afford it. I can't pay the bills...

The list could go on and on and on and on.

These thoughts and beliefs and attitudes set you up to fail, they discourage you and lead to you giving up, and settling for much less than God intended.

I can't is like poison and if you continue to think it, and live your life ruled by I can'tyour life will shrivel and you won't probably won't fulfill your life purpose.

I strongly encourage you to stop saying I can't. The truth is that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.

From today onwards replace I can't with I CAN

Philippians 4:13 says: I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS ME.

When you find yourself thinking, I can't, say out loud to yourself, "I can do all things with God's help, with God nothing is impossible."

If you think you CAN or you think you CAN'T, you're generally right because Proverbs 23:7 says, as a man thinks, so is he. So be sure that your thoughts line up with God's thoughts and that you agree with God about what He says.

You are the temple of the Holy Spirit, God lives in you. 1 John 4:17 says, "As He is, so are we in this world." That means that You CAN do what HE CAN do in you.

Choose to believe what God says in His word.

Think "I can", say "I can."

Meditate on Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Refuse to believe that there is anything you CAN'T do with God's help.

Stop yourself every time you feel like saying I can't OR if you do find yourself saying it, replace it with, I CAN!
