May the Lord show you favour and give you His peace. May you KNOW God’s love in ways that you haven't before, and have many testimonies of when love came down.

For me, saying goodbye to 2014 feels somewhat like shedding a skin. I have a sense of stepping out of, and stepping into.

I'm sensing that 2015 will be a pivotal year, a year of breakthrough and breaking out, a landmark year.

"I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland." Isaiah 43:9

What an amazing thought, that the Lord has already begun to do something new... rivers in dry wasteland.

Today's Coaching Moment talks about God's amazing promise. I found this gem when I was reading Proverbs and James, it was a timely reminder that God doesn't expect us to navigate through life without His input. You'll find it below - read, take action, and be blessed.

In Proverbs 1:23 it says,

Come and listen to me! I'll pour out the spirit of wisdom on you and make you wise."

"Come and listen to my counsel, I'll share my heart with you and make you wise."

What an amazing promise!!

"If you need wisdom – if you want to know what God wants you to do – ask Him, and He will gladly tell you. BUT when you ask Him be sure that you REALLY expect Him to answer." James 1:5

There is no secret

There is no secret to getting wisdom. If you want to know what God wants you to do, ask Him, and He'll gladly tell you. Gods wisdom is READILY available to you.

All you need to do is ask, ask EXPECTING to hear, and be willing to act on what you hear.

If you've made wrong choices that have affected your relationship with God and with others, you can put that right and start again with God's WISDOM.

If you're not used to asking God for wisdom in this way, perhaps you could begin by doing something like this:

Simply ask God what He wants you to know about the coming year...

"Father, what do you have to say to me about the coming year? What is on your heart for me to do?"

Then write down the thoughts that come to mind, believing that the Lord is speaking to you through your thoughts.

How would your life be different if you started each day by asking the Lord to speak into your life and give you wisdom for each day?

Plan each day with God

When I started the practice of planning my days with God, everything changed and life worked much better. I encourage you to try it for your self and note the difference it makes.

Life works much better when you operate out of spending time with the Father and hearing His heart for you. When I want to know what God has to say to me I make time to sit undisturbed and write in my journal.

Simply ask, "What is the most important thing for me to do today Father? What needs to take priority?" Then write down what comes to mind.
